About Viride Quartet
The members of the Viride Quartet met at the School For Young Talent at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, and have been playing together intensively since the quartet was founded in 2017. Since then, the quartet has participated in many international festivals, been frequently heard on national television and radio, and played at well-known venues such as the Royal Concertgebouw and Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ in Amsterdam, TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht, De Doelen in Rotterdam, Concertgebouw de Vereeniging in Nijmegen and Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. From 2019 to 2023, the quartet was connected to the Zeist Music Days as quartet-in-residence, this allowed the quartet to work closely with the renowned Jerusalem Quartet, and in particular violinist Alexander Pavlovsky. They currently receive frequent lessons from the Dudok Quartet Amsterdam, Quatuor Danel and the Cuarteto Casals and the quartet is in residency at both the String Quartet Biennale Amsterdam and the Dutch String Quartet Academy, among others. They enjoy performing music from Dutch composers, such as Willem Pijper's string quartets.
